On May 27th and 28th, 2023 a coalition of believers in Israel and the Nations, denominations, missions and prayer organizations are calling believers everywhere to set aside an hour to pray both for Jerusalem and the Jewish people and for the Gospel to go to the ends of the earth and communities of worshiping disciples to be raised up everywhere.
To assist and bring focus to the prayer we are partnering with different groups from Israel and the nations of the earth in a 26-hour broadcast with different key partners leading prayer from their part of the world. Crescendoing in several high points throughout the day including a broadcast from the Southern Steps of the Temple in Jerusalem at 10am-12noon. At the very place that 3000 were added to the number of the gathering of believers on the Day of Pentecost, many of the organizations who are participating in the decade of activities responding to Jesus' Great Apostolic Commission to Go and Make Disciples of all nations and who have set a goal of 2033 (the 2000th Anniversary of the death, resurrection, ascension and pouring out of the Spirit) for many discipleship goals. As well as a commissioning broadcast to raise intercession for Jerusalem at 6pm-8pm.
On May 28th the global Body of Christ will remember the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on 120 disciples who were waiting in one accord in Jerusalem to receive power from on high to be witnesses, and who were then thrust out into the world to make disciples in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and the ends of the earth.
This Pentecost will be marked in Jerusalem and around the world, not just by looking back, but also looking forward.
It will mark the beginning of a decade of prayer, evangelism and discipleship, launching a ten year journey of global collaboration between believers in Israel and the nations, churches of all denominations, mission organizations and ministries responding to the Commission of Jesus to see that all the world has an opportunity to hear the Good News of the Kingdom, hear and understand the Bible in their own language and be connected to a gathering of believers in a discipleship context by 2033. This decade sets 2033 as a goal for many of these finish lines, the 2000th anniversary of the death, resurrection, and ascension of Yeshua, as well as the commissioning and outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
It will also be a Global Day of Prayer for more than 100M believers from Jewish, Arab, and Gentile backgrounds focused on Jerusalem and the Jewish people worldwide. With Jerusalem being the epicenter of Biblical history, being the location for the birth of the church and the place where Jesus will come back to rule and reign from the throne of David; and the recognition of the Jewish root/Olive Tree into which all the Gentiles are grafted through the blood of Jesus, a vast majority of believers globally are awakening to the need to raise up intercession not only for the nations, but especially for Israel and the Jewish people.
The first Protestant missions movement sprang up from a group of Moravians led by Count Zinzendorf, who dedicated their community to a scripture found in Isaiah
“On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night they shall never be silent. You who put the Lord in remembrance, take no rest, and give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth”.
(Isaiah 62:6-7)
From this beginning with a belief that salvation must come to the Jew first. The Moravian community established night and day prayer and worship after a move of the Holy Spirit and from this community a 100-year, 24/7 prayer meeting was launched, resulting in one of the greatest missions movements in the history of the Church.
A similar impetus is leading to this global call for a 21-day Global Fast driven by Isaiah 62:6-7, from May 7th to May 28th. Then there is a call for 10 Days of Prayer for Israel from the Day of Ascension to Pentecost, leading to a Global Day of Prayer on Pentecost Sunday-May 28th for Jerusalem and the Jewish People worldwide., with the desire for the salvation of not only Israel, but the whole world.
We are calling churches everywhere to set aside May 28th as a day of consecration to this cause.
Join over 1 million believers who will engage in prayer for Israel for at least one hour a day for 21 days (May 7-28) for the increase of God’s salvation promises and plans for Jerusalem and Israel.
Join 10 days of 24-7 worship and prayer in the lead up to Pentecost Sunday with Christians from around the globe! Sign up for free access to the 10 Days Prayer Room.
GO Month, during May, is about making yourself available to God to share the Gospel with others. Let’s impact our society to create a catalytic momentum for prayer and evangelism.
What if every believer would take 5 minutes a day to pray for 5 people they know who need Jesus? As you pray for them, ask God to give you opportunities to care for them and share Jesus with them.
