On behalf of IPC, I would like to convey sincere thanks to you from everyone here for joining and praying with us on Pentecost Sunday's Global Day of Prayer - contending for the Jewish world!
Together with the Isaiah 62 Fast called by Mike Bickle and the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, over 5 million Jesus followers from 10,000 prayer hubs in 120 nations committed to pray an hour a day for 21 days from May 7th to May 28th Pentecost Sunday!
The theme passage was Isaiah 62:1, 6-7:
“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not be quiet, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a burning torch…. On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night they shall never be silent. You who put the Lord in remembrance, take no rest, and give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth”
Both 10days.net and the Jericho Walls International Prayer Network also put together a 10 Days Prayer Guide – praying for key unreached cities on the Isaiah 19 highway from Cairo to Jerusalem. We hosted a 240-hour continuous prayer meeting on Zoom, together with more than 120 prayer networks hosting their own 10-Day watches across 30 nations!
This culminated in a 26-hour global prayer broadcast with various prayer and worship expressions around the world. It was broadcast around the world through 10 regional Christian satellite / TV / streaming channels. To watch the replays, go to www.pentecost2023.org
We are so grateful for the exemplary leadership of Jono Hall of Sardius Media, who coordinated and directed the broadcast.
On Pentecost Sunday, May 28th, we gathered with 850 people on the Southern Steps, Temple Mount, in Jerusalem – the site where Peter preached the Gospel on the day of Pentecost and 3,000 Jews believed and confessed Jesus Christ as their Messiah, and Savior!
We joined our voices together with over 100 million people praying on this day for the salvation of Israel. I believe this was the most coordinated prayer effort on behalf of the Jewish people worldwide in Church history!
As we started the gathering, it poured down with rain - which the locals said was very unusual for this time of the year and made things a little tricky for the broadcast. 😊 We took this as a sign from the Lord and prayed with mighty faith - asking God to rend the heavens and pour out His Spirit upon all flesh in Jerusalem!
1. Launched 2033.Earth - a decade of Great Commission efforts (2023- 2033) – 2033 being the 2000 year anniversary of the giving of the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations.
2. Global Day of Prayer - Joined our voices together with 100 million in 150 nations Praying for the Salvation of Israel.
3. Celebrated Global Communion Together.
We experienced severe opposition from the Orthodox Jewish community who tried to stop the prayer event. This went viral throughout Israel. The Government of Israel offered an official apology during the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast, a few days later.
Here is a short video entitled ‘Pentecost 2023 – What’s Next?’ where I share a few thoughts from Scripture moving forward - I believe the Lord is releasing a global gift of tears and travail on behalf of Israel and the nations in these days.
The team here at IPC (International Prayer Connect) are so thankful for each of our partner ministries who stood alongside us on site in Jerusalem and Kansas and led and took part in the hosted sessions that were broadcast from around the world.
Thank you also to each one of you who was among countless gatherings, services, watch parties and home-based participants both online and offline. We deeply love and appreciate each of you and are standing together with you as ‘family’ in these days!
We are looking forward with anticipation to our 4th Global Day of Prayer for the Hindu world and India, October 31st!
May the Lamb who was slain receive the due reward for his sufferings amongst the Jewish people worldwide.
